Co-owner Rodney Alex's formula is simple: He takes his cost, adds a reasonable (comparatively speaking) 50% mark-up and sells it. If you want to actually drink it at his wine bar, he'll tack on a flat $15 no matter the price of the bottle. It's a transparent — and potentially risky — approach to selling in a world where most retailers and restauranteurs get away with much higher margins.

The store/wine bar had its official opening party on January 23rd, which is when this segment was filmed. Overall, Juicy has 150 wines by the bottle, with 10 to 15 available by the glass. The retail price for most of the wines is between $40 and $65.
