Mighty Mugs provides an online service that allows people to put their own images and photographs on their mugs. Sounds simple, right? Owners Steven Benjamin and H. Kim have a competitive advantage, though: they perfected a printing method that ensures images are sharper in focus and richer in color. Drink up.
Most of the printing work is done right in their own home. For bigger orders — such as those from corporate clients — the company outsources the production.
A key feature on their site is a 3D animated photo mug preview that allow users to see exactly what their mugs will look like. (The company guarantees that you'll get an exact replicat of what you see on the site.)
Mighty Mugs earned a chance to be featured on BusinessPOV.com after winning a pitch-competition put on by Chicago Beta, the meetup of local entrepreneurs.
