The Sportvision event was held in conjunction with the Illinois Technology Association, and was hosted by Dave Smith, of Early Market Partners.

Spun out of Fox Sports, a division of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., in 1998, Sportvision produces visual enhancements for telecasts of Major League Baseball, the National Football League, NCAA football, NASCAR motor sports and the National Basketball Association.

Revenue primarily comes from licensing fees with the networks. The company has won eight Emmy Awards, including three for its signature broadcast enhancements, the virtual yellow 1st and Ten™ Line and KZone™, and three for its pioneering advanced media work with NASCAR.
