ENCORE: Meet a Top Creative Team at Leo Burnett

Copywriter Josh Denberg and art director Paul Hirsch have been working together for 10 years on everything from ComEd to Washington Mutual to the Holy Grail of ad accounts: Nike. Here, they detail their comedic philosophy, tell stories about some of their best work, and discuss their ban on 70s pop singer Jackson Browne.

After ad stints in New York, Portland and Minneapolis, Denberg and Hirsch met at the highly renowned San Francisco agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, the firm behind "Got Milk" and strong work for Comcast and Hewlett Packard.

They were brought to Burnett by Global Chief Creative Officer Mark Tutssel. One of their first assignments was to come up with something fresh for the seemingly mundane ComEd account. The result: a compelling — and completely offbeat — look at the company that helps light up the holidays.

Now, in addition to writing and art-directing projects such as Ambassador Scotch, they oversee a variety of accounts as creative directors.
