Geoff Dougherty's "hyperlocal" journalism site—ChitownDailyNews.org—just recieved a $340,000 grant to support its efforts to cover all 75 Chicago neighborhoods by recruiting and training 75 volunteer reporters. Dougherty's funds came from the Knight Foundation, which awards journalists nationwide who are trying out different newsgathering approaches. Here, the former Trib reporter talks about future plans.
