The hotel, which was formerly the House of Blues Hotel and which sits adjacent to the HofB concert venue, is wrapping up a $17 million renovation. It's still not officially opened: construction continues on rooms and the hotelier appears to still be working out some kinks. Gemstone, which manages the property, is positioning it as a competitor to the Four Seasons and the like. Can it live up to that? Time will tell.
