Chicago Innovation Award Winners, 2007: Part 1 of 3

In this installment, four of the ten companies that won a Chicago Innovation Award this year are featured discussing their concepts, including ABBOTT LABORATORIES (Fighting new mutant variations of HIV virus), DRIFIRE (Keeping emergency personnel cool and safe), CITY OF CHICAGO (Greening Chicago's alleys), and EXPERIENCIA IMMERSIVE LEARNING CENTER (Giving kids "real-world" work experience). This is part 1 of 3.

About the awards, according to the website: "The goal of the Chicago Innovation Awards is to recognize, educate and inspire. Entering its sixth year, the awards honor Chicago-area businesses and nonprofit organizations that develop the year’s most innovative new products and services."
