Linette Demers leads the research and analysis of emerging trends in genomics and laboratory medicine for Sg2, a Chicago consultancy. Here she talks about future technologies that will redefine "disease landscapes" and facilitate global workforces.

Ms. Demers also focuses on evaluating the impact of emerging technologies on the delivery of care across clinical service lines.

She holds an MS and PhD in chemistry from Northwestern University and received a BSc with honors from McGill University in Canada.

Mr. Demers' presentation was part of the MIT Enterprise Forum's 2008 Technology Forecast, which was held on January 15 and put on in conjunction with the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center.
