Some 60 attendees came to Gerald "Solutionman" Haman's work loft (aka the Thinkubator) for the inaugural meeting of the Chicagovators. It was an entertaining evening of networking and madcap group exercises designed to trigger innovative ideas.
The goal of the Chicagovators concept is "not about traditional networking," Mr. Haman says, "but is instead designed to "foster and recognize innovation in Chicagoland."
Mr. Haman started SolutionPeople 15 years ago after previously working for P&G and Arthur Andersen. He has operated out of the west-loop Thinkubator for the past decade.
In addition to Mr. Haman, the event organizers included Kevin Murnane (Interaction Associates) Bob Dean (Learning consultant) Lee Mann (Wilton Industries) and Scott Miller (Integrated Product Development Group)
